Willis has appointed Eden Fletcher and Stephen Trickey to its Financial, Professional and Executive Risks (FINEX) team in the Pacific, naming Fletcher head of FINEX, Pacific and Trickey head of growth, Pacific, the company announced on LinkedIn on 22 January.

Fletcher joins from Aon, where he spent more than 20 years and most recently served as head of specialty solutions, Australia. He also previously worked at Marsh and has extensive industry experience across financial lines and specialty.

Trickey returns to WTW after more than 35 years with Aon, where he held a range of leadership roles, most recently as chief commercial officer. He started his career at WTW in London as a claims broker before moving to Besso, a reinsurance broker in the same city. In his new role, he will be responsible for growth strategies across WTW’s Pacific business, with a focus on FINEX.

James Baum, head of Pacific, said the appointments reflect Willis’s focus on strengthening its FINEX offering for clients across the Pacific. “At a time where boards and senior executives are facing heightened scrutiny and increased risk exposures, the experience that both Eden and Stephen bring ensures that we remain well placed to help clients manage today’s challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s.”

The Pacific appointments follow WTW’s other recent APAC leadership announcements, including the appointment of Alex Benson as head of construction and natural resources claims for Asia, and a broader set of Willis specialty leadership hires: Nicki Tilney as head of natural resources, Asia; Iris Chan as head of construction, Asia, with Sui Jin Wong as deputy head of construction; and Steve Hutchinson as head of corporate risk and broking for Hong Kong and Macau.
