XS Global has appointed Nicholas O’Neil as regional property underwriting manager for Asia, the managing general agent (MGA) announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday.
O’Neil joins XS Global after spending over two years at Aon Thailand, where he most recently served as executive director. He also previously held leadership positions at Emirates Insurance and Emirates Retakaful, and Swiss Re.
“Nick brings over 35 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance underwriting and broking across global markets,” XS Global said in its announcement. “He is widely recognised for his deep technical expertise in treaty and facultative underwriting, retrocessional placement, and structured solutions, as well as for his strategic, client-focused approach.”
The move comes after XS Global officially announced its launch into the Asia-Pacific market in December with the establishment of its Hong Kong unit.
Since that launch, the business has announced a number of personnel moves, including Phillip Brain as its regional accident and health (A&H) underwriting manager, Wendy Law as regional casualty underwriting manager, and Mun Ching Shing as regional A&H underwriting manager
