Independently owned MGA platform XS Global has appointed Mun Ching Shing as regional accident and health (A&H) underwriting manager for Asia-Pacific, the company announced on LinkedIn on Tuesday.

Mun joins the firm from AIG Hong Kong, where she most recently served as head of underwriting and product, A&H.

She brings 15 years of industry experience, with expertise in A&H underwriting, having previously worked for firms across APAC, including Allianz Life in Kuala Lumpur and Chubb in Singapore.

In its announcement, XS Global said Mun is known “for her ability to combine strong technical underwriting discipline with a collaborative, commercially minded approach,” adding she has “extensive experience working closely with distribution, operations, and regional teams, delivering innovative, client-focused A&H solutions.”

The announcement comes after the firm launched its APAC presence in Hong Kong in December, followed by recent hires including Phillip Brain, also as regional A&H underwriting manager, and Wendy Law as regional casualty underwriting manager.
