Echo Reinsurance Limited (Echo Re) has appointed Sanjana Sinha as underwriting manager at its India office in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), the reinsurer announced on Thursday.
Sinha joins the business after spending almost 12 years at AXA XL, where she most recently served as an underwriting manager. She also held managerial roles at HDFC Bank and Axis Bank earlier in her career.
“Sanjana brings over a decade of valuable experience and expertise in reinsurance underwriting to the team,” Echo Re principal officer Ankur Sharma said in the announcement.
The Indian financial regulator granted Echo Re a licence to set up a branch office at GIFT City in March 2026.
Since then, the Zurich-based reinsurer has also appointed Rajil Khare as senior underwriter for the Indian subcontinent, as part of its push into the region.
