Echo Reinsurance has appointed Rajil Khare as senior underwriter for the Indian subcontinent, effective June 22, according to a company announcement on LinkedIn.
Khare joins the reinsurer after working for over two years at Liberty General, most recently as a senior vice president. He brings over 15 years of industry experience, having held underwriting roles for HDFC Ergo General Insurance and AXA XL.
The appointment comes as Echo Re expands its presence in India, after receiving approval earlier this year from the International Financial Services Centres Authority to open a reinsurance branch office in GIFT City.
