Starr has appointed Patto To as regional accident & health claims manager for Asia, overseeing services across Hong Kong and Singapore, the insurer announced on Tuesday.
To joins Starr after over three years at Blue Cross Insurance in Hong Kong, most recently as manager for general insurance claims. Before that, he held numerous roles at Prudential Hong Kong and worked for Chubb earlier in his career.
“With extensive experience across A&H and Consumer Lines claims, Patto brings valuable claims expertise as we continue to enhance our claims capabilities across Asia,” the business said in its announcement.
The appointment is part of Starr’s continued efforts to expand its A&H business in Asia, and comes alongside the hiring of Sharon Ho as head of accident and health for Hong Kong, a move the insurer also announced this week.
Outside of A&H, the business also made a series of appointments across Asia this year, including Sparks Lai as head of business development marine for North Asia, Jane Tung as head of casualty in Hong Kong, and Jean Michoud as regional travel partnerships lead for Asia-Pacific.
