AIG has appointed Liam Baughan as head of casualty for Australia, Kathleen Warden, General Manager for Australia, announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday.
Baughan joins from Allianz Australia, where he most recently served as head of liability. He brings more than 18 years of experience, with previous stints at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, Zurich Insurance, and Mulbury Hamilton.
“Liam brings a strong commercial mindset and technical expertise,” Warden said in her LinkedIn announcement. “I’m confident that under Liam’s leadership we will strengthen while continuing to deliver great value to our clients and brokers.”
Baughan’s appointment follows several key movements that AIG announced over the last month: Eric Andersen becoming its new president, with CEO Peter Zaffino transitioning to executive chair; Scott Leney taking over as APAC regional president, succeeding the outgoing Chris Colahan; Arlan Bolado’s promotion to multinational regional service delivery manager for Asia-Pacific, and Ryan Spettigue being named as the new head of client and broker engagement.
