Chubb today announced the appointment of Chris Colahan as head of commercial property and casualty (P&C), Asia-Pacific, effective 9 February 2026.

Colahan joins Chubb from AIG, where he was APAC regional president.

In his new role, he will report to Marcos Gunn, regional president of Chubb Overseas General, Asia-Pacific, and Brian Church, division president, P&C, COG.

As part of the move, Colahan will also join Chubb’s Asia Pacific executive committee.

Speaking on the appointment, Gunn said Colahan is a “proven industry leader, with an extensive and deep understanding of the region, which will be invaluable as we continue to build our business in Asia-Pacific”.

Colahan has also held senior roles at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance in London and Australia, and at RSA Insurance in various regional leadership positions.

Colahan’s appointment comes after Aaron Shead’s designation as executive vice president, head of property, COG, earlier this month.

At AIG, he will be succeeded by Scott Leney, who will be joining from Everest Insurance.
