Aon has appointed Ben Jones as its new Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific, effective December 8, the global broker announced in a LinkedIn statement on Monday.
Jones joins after five years at Manulife, where he served as Chief Transformation and Operations Officer.
His previous experience includes time at Allianz Group, across two stints, including more recently as Country Chief Transformation Officer for Thailand’s Allianz Ayudhya and prior to that as regional head of operations for APAC.
His earlier roles also include a brief spell at IAG and five years at AIG, as well as his earlier time with Allianz, where he worked across Australia and Germany.
In its post, Aon described Jones as having “deep expertise in operational leadership and transformation,” adding he is “ready to bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to help our clients make better decisions.”
The move comes following a series of key appointments by the business recently, with Aon announcing Jason Disborough as chief commercial officer for Pacific, Vincent Shih as head of treaty reinsurance in Taiwan, and Joe Gardner as broking leader, crisis management for Asia—all within the last month.
