Chubb has made two key leadership appointments in its Asia-Pacific legal and compliance team: Jin Lee as executive vice president and general counsel, global life and general insurance, APAC, and Mark Eggleton as senior VP and general counsel, legal strategy and government affairs, APAC, the insurer announced on LinkedIn on Monday.
Lee has been with Chubb since 2011 and was general counsel for Chubb Life before her new designation. She has more than 20 years of experience in the legal profession and has had prior stints at Wotton Kearney, ACE Insurance Limited, the now-defunct DLA Phillips Fox, and Supreme Court of Victoria in Australia, according to her profile.
Based in Singapore, she now covers legal and compliance for the general insurance business in Asia-Pacific and the life business globally in her expanded role.
Meanwhile, Eggleton has been with Chubb since 2004 and was SVP and general counsel based in Zurich before his latest appointment. He has more than 30 years of legal practice and held senior roles at Colin Biggers & Paisley and DLA Phillips Fox, among other previous stints, according to his profile.
In his new role, also based in Singapore, he will lead government affairs and regulatory engagement across the region.
Lee’s and Eggleton’s appointments follow recent key appointments in APAC for the insurer, including those of Cherry Gao as head of major accounts and global broking, Candice Strydom as its New Zealand construction lead, and Khanh Bui as chief finance and business development officer for Southeast Asia, over the last month.
