Chubb has appointed Candice Strydom as its New Zealand Construction Lead, according to a LinkedIn post from Nikki Quain, property manager at the business.

Strydom has more than 15 years of underwriting experience in the New Zealand insurance market and joins after three years with Vero, where she was senior construction and engineering underwriter. Her previous roles include time at Ando Insurance and Allianz.

“A very warm welcome and congratulations to Candice Strydom on her appointment,” Quain said in the post.

Her move comes amid other key appointments in the Asia-Pacific region for the insurer, including the appointments of Chris Colahan as head of commercial P&C, Asia-Pacific in December, and Cherry Gao as head of major accounts and global broking for Chubb Singapore last week.
