Crawford Australia on Tuesday announced the hiring three experienced professionals: Stephen Toomer has joined as Head of Construction, Power & Energy; Josephine Princi as NSW Team Leader for its Forensic Accounting division; and Werner Gibson has returned as Senior Adjuster in the company’s Global Technical Services (GTS) team.  

Based In Melbourne, Toomer brings with him 34 years of loss adjusting experience across four continents—South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. 

Before joining Crawford, Toomer acted as the Managing Director of the McLarens’ South Korean Operations. His credentials include nearly two decades of experience working on power and engineering claims, along with major and complex claims in the construction industry. He also has also dealt with claims that arise from political violence.   

According to Toomer, he was attracted to join Crawford Australia because of the company’s compelling reputation in every region he has worked in around the world.  

Meanwhile, Princi, a chartered accountant based in Sydney, brings 10 years of experience to her new role. She specialises in the quantification of business interruption and stock commercial losses in both the UK and the Asia-Pacific region.  

Before joining Crawford, Princi worked as a supervisor for Sedgwick, another major international loss adjusting house, for over 5 years. 

Also joining Crawford is Brisbane-based Gibson, who has returned as part of the company’s GTS team, which tackles large and complex property losses. More recently, he has worked with Sedgwick as a senior adjuster for over three years. 

Gibson has spent almost 10 years in adjusting, working within both Australia and South Africa. However, he originally graduated from university with a Bachelor of Laws, spending the first six years of his professional life as a prosecutor.
