Munich Re Automation Solutions (MRAS) has appointed Damion Howlett as vice president of customer success for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
In his new role, Howlett will oversee customer success operations across APAC, supporting insurers in adopting ALLFINANZ, the company’s SaaS-based digital underwriting platform.
Howlett joins from Aflac Life Insurance Japan, where he served as vice president of IT and digital transformation. He has held senior technology and transformation roles at Manulife, AXA, Tokio Marine, and ORIX, and brings prior familiarity with MRAS, having served as head of Japan client implementation at the company’s Tokyo office in 2008 and 2009.
Alby van Wyk, chief commercial officer at MRAS, said Howlett’s experience in complex transformation programmes makes him well-suited to lead the business’s APAC customer success organisation.
“Damion’s leadership will be instrumental as we deepen our partnerships, accelerate cloud adoption, and continue delivering market leading value for our customers across Asia-Pacific,” van Wyk added.
Howlett said he is honoured to join MRAS at a pivotal time for the industry.
“Insurers across APAC are accelerating their digital transformation, and MRAS is uniquely positioned to help them innovate with confidence, particularly in the fast-moving AI environment,” he added.
MRAS, a Dublin-headquartered subsidiary of Munich Re Group, provides digital underwriting, AI, and analytics technology to life insurers globally through its ALLFINANZ platform.
