Naresh Krishnan has been appointed as the president director of PT Chubb Life Insurance Indonesia (Chubb Life Indonesia), the company announced on Friday. He succeeds Kumaran Chinan, who retired in November 2025 after eight years with the company.
Krishnan joins from Principal Asset Management Indonesia, where he was most recently the president director. He brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in insurance and asset management across Asia, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and India. Previous companies include senior leadership roles at AIA Indonesia, Sun Life Philippines, Manulife China Bank Life Assurance, Philippines, and Manulife Asset Management Indonesia.
Commenting on the appointment, Sang Lee, president of Southeast Asia and New Zealand at Chubb Life, said: “Naresh’s extensive expertise and strategic vision will be very important as we continue to provide insurance solutions to meet the evolving needs of customers and strengthen the company’s position in the Indonesian market.”
Lee also expressed gratitude for Chinan’s service: “We also thank Kumaran for the outstanding contribution he has made over the past eight years.”
Krishnan’s designation follows recent key appointments in APAC for the insurer: Jin Lee as executive vice president and general counsel, global life and general insurance, APAC, and Mark Eggleton as senior VP and general counsel, legal strategy and government affairs, APAC, earlier this month; Cherry Gao as head of major accounts and global broking, Candice Strydom as its New Zealand construction lead, and Khanh Bui as chief finance and business development officer for Southeast Asia, over the last month.
