Peak Re has announced the strategic expansion of its Structured Solutions team to include P&C business, along with three key appointments to support its strategic growth.
Chenwei Li (pictured left), who joined Peak Re as Appointed Actuary in 2018 and later became Head of Structured Solutions of L&H and Co-head of L&H in 2022, leads the expanded team with immediate effect. His experience prior to Peak Re included time at Taiping Re, Allianz, and Aviva.
Li will focus on Structured Solutions for both P&C and L&H and is tasked with steering the team to develop bespoke solutions that meet the unique needs of clients, the Hong Kong-based global reinsurer said.
Chenwei is supported by Tony Zhong (pictured middle) and Min Zhang (pictured right), both Senior Actuaries with deep experience in capital, risk, and financial management.
Peak Re said it initially created the L&H Structured Solutions team in 2022 to meet the insurance sector’s increasing call for flexible and innovative capital and risk management strategies. The recent expansion to include the P&C segment signifies a broadened commitment to delivering versatile reinsurance services across its operations.
The expanded Structured Solutions team will function independently, ensuring specialised and impartial support to clients, the reinsurer said. However it will continue to collaborate and draw on the company’s expertise throughout its P&C and L&H teams.
