Prudential Assurance Company Singapore has announced two senior leadership changes, with Jimmy Wang appointed chief actuary, succeeding Lee Jiat Liauw, who has been appointed chief product officer.
Wang moves from his role as chief actuary at Prudential Indonesia, having joined the company in April 2024. He brings experience in life insurance, reinsurance, and financial risk management, with previous roles at Pacific Life Re, FWD, and Munich Re.
“With a strong track record in actuarial leadership, risk management, and strategic advisory, he will play a critical role in reinforcing Prudential Singapore’s financial discipline and supporting our long‑term growth agenda,” the business said.
Meanwhile, Liauw has been at Pru Singapore for nearly 13 years and has been serving as chief actuary since January 2020. Her previous experience includes five years at Aviva and four years at Great Eastern Life.
“Having made significant contributions to Prudential Singapore’s financial performance and resilience, Lee Jiat will now lead the development of our product strategy, shaping best‑in‑class propositions and identifying new opportunities to better serve our more than one million customers,” the business said.
The appointments come after the insurer reported 12% new business profit growth in FY 2025, supported by strong bancassurance performance.
