Swiss Re has announced the appointment of Robin Spencer as Chief Operating Officer for its Life & Health Reinsurance business unit, effective 1 September 2025.
Before joining Swiss Re, Spencer most recently served as the COO of Prudential Asia and as CEO of Prudential Thailand. He brings over 20 years of experience in global insurance and reinsurance leadership roles across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Based in London, he will oversee Swiss Re’s global L&H Re operations with responsibility for strengthening service delivery and enhancing operational efficiency.
His role includes leading an expanded operational mandate across all L&H Re functions and implementing data and technology-driven solutions to support business performance and scalability.

Spencer’s appointment follows other recent leadership changes at Swiss Re, including the naming of Jerry Rompotis and Svend Eriksen as portfolio leaders for the restructured FinPro Team in Australia and New Zealand, as well as Stephen Abrokwah’s relocation to Asia as Swiss Re’s new Head of L&H for Japan.
