Willis has appointed Arjun Cherukunnathu and Ameya Kane as Vice Presidents in its Financial and Executive and Professional Risks (FINEX) team in India, according to a LinkedIn post by Tushar Gupta, the company’s Head of FINEX India and Head of Financial Institutions – South East Asia.

Based in Bangalore, Cherukunnathu will take on the role of Vice President – FINEX, South India. He joins Willis after a four-year stint with Marsh, where he worked as Assistant Vice President. Prior to that, he also worked as a Manager for Tata AIG. To his new role, Cherukunnathu offers expertise in financial lines, cyber, and specialty risks, with a focus on aligning corporate risk perspectives with client needs in Southern markets.

Kane, based in Pune, has been named Vice President – FINEX. He joins from Alliance Insurance Brokers, where he held the position of Vice President for over a year. Kane brings almost 20 years of industry experience in insurance consulting, underwriting, and liability solutions. He previously held senior roles at insurers such as Liberty General Insurance, Aon, and Raheja QBE General Insurance, among others.

Commenting on the new appointments, Gupta said: “Their appointments reflect WTW’s commitment to strong local presence, sectoral expertise, and client-first solutions tailored to India’s diverse markets. With Ameya and Arjun onboard, we continue to expand our footprint and reinforce our focus on delivering value to clients across the region.”

The hires follow earlier key leadership announcements in the country in August, including the appointment of Ramya Nataraj as FINEX leader for South India and of Azad Kumar as Growth Leader of Energy, Construction, and Marine.
