DUAL New Zealand has appointed Darren Woolnough as Head of Specialty, the business announced on LinkedIn on Tuesday.
Woolnough first joined DUAL between 2012 and 2014 and returns to the Howden-backed MGA after over 11 years spent with QBE, where he held several senior positions, including Head of Digital Partnerships & Performance, Manager of Service Excellence, and National Operations Manager.
Talking about plans for the next 12 months, Woolnough said: “We’ll be focused on defining a clear identity for the Specialty team, building cohesion across multiline placements, and pushing innovation within our core product suite. It’s about being deliberate, making sure our brokers know exactly what we stand for and where we add value.”
Woolnough’s appointment follows a series of leadership moves at DUAL ANZ. In July, the MGA promoted Michael Ussher and Paula Sheppard-Jones as Managing Directors for Australia and New Zealand, respectively, while Stewart Eaton was elevated to Head of Liability across both countries in May.
