DUAL ANZ on Wednesday announced the promotions of Michael Ussher and Paula Sheppard-Jones as Managing Directors (MDs) for Australia and New Zealand, respectively.

Ussher has been with the MGA since 2006. Concurrent with his new MD role, he will continue to serve as DUAL’s ANZ Deputy CEO, where he is responsible for Sales and Marketing, HR/People, and Legal/Governance.

Sheppard-Jones joined DUAL New Zealand in 2018, serving in the role of General Manager for the last four years. Her previous experience includes time at QBE and Aon.

In addition, the MGA also announced the promotions of Davina Smith to Head of Sales and Marketing, Tahlia Carrat to Head of Legal and Governance, and Damian Browne to Deputy Managing Director for NZ.

Damien Coates, DUAL’s ANZ CEO, said the move aims to support the managing general agent’s (MGA) target to double its gross written premiums in the region, from A$500m (US$326.97m) to A$1bn, over the next 5 years.

‘’These appointments are important in communicating clear direction to our people and clients that Michael and Paula have ultimate responsibility for the delivery of our products and services,” Coates added.
