FWD Group Holdings Limited has announced 12 charitable grants to support non-government organisations across its 10 Asian markets, coinciding with the company’s 12th anniversary.

The grants will fund initiatives in financial literacy, social entrepreneurship, career readiness, and health programmes across Cambodia, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Macau SAR.

Group Chief Executive Officer Huynh Thanh Phong said the anniversary held particular significance as FWD’s first as a listed company. The grants form part of FWD’s regional partnership with Nobel Peace Prize 2025 nominee Junior Achievement Worldwide, which was extended earlier this year to reach 40,000 additional students by 2027.

Individual grants include Cambodia’s university financial literacy debate programme with Cambodia Children’s Fund, and Hong Kong SAR’s expansion of the JA SparktheDream programme with a wellness workshop component for primary school students.

Indonesia will receive support for female entrepreneur training through KUMPUL’s InnovateHer Academy 3.0 and a financial education programme with Prestasi Junior Indonesia that will train 30 teachers. Japan’s grant supports medical wig provision for cancer patients through the National Welfare Beauty and Barber Training Association during Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Malaysia’s programme with GivingHub will provide health and financial literacy workshops plus health screenings for 200 low-income families. The Philippine grant supports graduating college students through Junior Achievement Philippines’ career planning programme, while Singapore’s funding assists Club Rainbow with activities for children with chronic illnesses.

Meanwhile, Thailand receives funding for seven hospitality scholarships via Pimali Foundation and teacher training in financial literacy through Junior Achievement Thailand. Vietnam’s grant supports university student training and debate competitions through the Startup Vietnam Foundation’s Be A Finnovator programme.

The community investment initiative follows FWD’s expansion into high-net-worth markets through its FWD Private brand across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bermuda, and the recent launch of FWD Wealth+ Investment-linked Insurance in the Philippines targeting affluent clients..
