Hans Vraken has been appointed as CEO of AXA Korea, officially starting his new role on Monday (3 June 2024), Vraken announced in a LinkedIn post.

The news comes after The Korea Times revealed in March that Vraken had been nominated as CEO for the business.

He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as President and CEO of AXA Direct Japan in Tokyo between 2017 and 2021, and CEO of YUZZU, part of the AXA Group, in Brussels. His extensive background in leadership within the AXA Group spans over several key positions, including his most recent role as Director of People & Communications for AXA International Markets in Madrid.

“Today I started my new position as CEO of AXA Korea. I feel excited and thankful for the opportunity to work with this committed, energetic and enthusiastic team.” Vraken said on LinkedIn. “I thank my predecessors for their leadership and look forward to creating a new cycle of growth and transformation,” he added.
