Kenneth Cheong has joined Berkley Insurance as Deputy Head of Marine for Asia, effective 1 September, the business announced on LinkedIn on Friday, 22 August.

Cheong brings more than 25 years of industry experience, most recently serving as an Underwriting Manager for Marine Cargo at HDI Global SE Singapore for nearly 12 years.

“His leadership, alongside Ju-Ann Lee and our dedicated marine team, will be instrumental as we expand into new territories and strengthen our product and service capabilities,” Berkley stated in its post.

The announcement follows Vivian Chow’s appointment as Berkley’s Commercial Professional Indemnity Underwriting Manager in May. In Hong Kong, the firm also named Anita Lee as Commercial Lines Underwriter and promoted Derek Sin to Financial Lines Senior Underwriter.
