Bipin Titus has been appointed as Underwriter for Liability and Cyber at AXA XL India, the company’s Chief Underwriting Officer, Saumitra Sharma, announced on LinkedIn on Friday.
Titus joins AXA XL after over a decade with ICICI Lombard, most recently serving as its Deputy Vice President. Bringing over 16 years of insurance industry experience, he held positions for numerous firms in India, including TATA AIG and Accenture.
Commenting on Titus’ appointment, Sharma noted that “His expertise and thought leadership will be instrumental as we continue to grow and strengthen our capabilities in this key industry focus area.”
The announcement follows several other key appointments made by AXA XL across the APAC region over the last couple of months. In July, the firm named Vincent Shiu as Client Relationship Leader for Asia. Meanwhile, the company’s marine team in Australia has appointed Ross Lawrenson as Senior Marine Underwriter and Sameen Naveed as Senior Claims Specialist, Marine.
