Howden has designated Cathryn Neo as head of contingent and litigation risks, Asia, the company announced on LinkedIn on Tuesday.
Neo is another hire from rival Aon, where she last served as associate director for litigation and contingent risks, and is the latest addition to the company’s Asia mergers and acquisitions teams, according to Howden. She is a seasoned disputes lawyer qualified in Singapore, Australia, and England & Wales, and brings deep expertise in advising clients on known legal and contingent risk exposures.
Alongside her new role, Neo will oversee all M&A, tax, and contingent claims matters in Asia. Howden noted that as a former disputes partner, she is well-placed to help clients achieve their claims objectives with confidence.
“Cathryn’s addition to our Asia M&A team marks an important milestone in our growth and further strengthens our ability to deliver market-leading risk expertise across the region,” the company said.
Neo’s move to Howden’s M&A team follows those of Jamie Wan as senior director, also announced today, as well as Adrian Chai and Jianhua Chen as directors, Rosy Wang as associate director, and Janice Jiang as an associate this month.
