Koo Kang Wuu has joined Munich Re Syndicate, Labuan as Managing Director. He moves from Swiss Re and brings over two decades of experience in the Malaysian insurance market to his new role.

The move, announced on LinkedIn by Amanda Lim—Munich Re Specialty’s Regional HR Manager for Asia and Middle East—will see Koo responsible for driving specialty insurance growth in the market.

Koo’s background includes significant experience in underwriting and portfolio management, with a focus on direct and facultative (re)insurance.

At Swiss Re, he served as a Senior Client Underwriter from 2019 to 2024. Prior, he was Business Development Manager for Executive & Professional Lines at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty. His career also includes time at Trust Re International Labuan, ACE Jerneh Insurance, and AHA.
