Manulife Hong Kong has announced the appointment of Thaddeus Yu as Chief Strategy Officer to oversee and expand the company’s strategic operations in Hong Kong and Macau.
Yu succeeds Carrie Tong, who was recently appointed as Chief Operations Officer, and will report directly to Patrick Graham, Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Hong Kong and Macau.
This move is part of Manulife’s ongoing commitment to driving growth in the Greater Bay Area. In his new role, he is responsible for setting and executing strategy for the Hong Kong and Macau business.
Yu brings over 15 years of experience in actuarial, health, and strategic development to the role. He previously worked in various local and regional positions at Cigna, AIA, and Bank of Montreal Insurance. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Actuarial Science and Statistics from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Economics from the University of Hong Kong. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
Manulife concurrently announced the appointment of Alice Li as Chief Communications Officer.
