Ocean Underwriting has welcomed six new members across three specialties of its underwriting team, the business announced on LinkedIn on Thursday.

Joining the company in Sydney are Maddie Blackmore as underwriter and Rupert Plumptre as assistant underwriter, both for property; Kai Brooks as assistant underwriter for financial lines; and Sam Lane, assistant underwriter for liability.

Based in Melbourne are Indy Shead as assistant underwriter for property and Dea Shetty as assistant underwriter for financial lines.

Ocean Underwriting is an Australia-based managing general agent that offers financial lines, cyber, property, and liability insurance for Australian small and medium enterprises. Last month, it launched a Lloyd’s-backed complex risks liability facility meant for complex or hard-to-place liability risks that fall outside standard liability policies.
