Prudential has today announced that Arjan Toor will become the new CEO of its Health business, effective from 1 Feb 2024.
Toor will relocate to Singapore for the new role, where he will report to Solmaz Altin, Managing Director of Prudential’s Strategic Business Group.
He will be responsible for the financial and operational aspects of the Health business, working closely with Chief Health Officers from the 24 markets the business serves to enhance the customer experience and foster growth.
His appointment follows the departure of Andrew Wong, the former Group Chief Health Officer, who is pursuing non-executive opportunities.
Toor has over 27 years of healthcare leadership experience, including most recently as CEO for Cigna Europe and 15 years in various marketing leadership roles at ING.
On the new appointment, Altin commented, “Our Health business is a key part of our strategy going forward. Arjan brings with him a depth and wealth of experience that I have no doubt will help us as we seek to become our customers’ most trusted partner throughout their healthcare journey.”
Prudential plc provides life and health insurance and asset management in 24 markets across Asia and Africa. In August 2023, the group announced its new business strategy with three strategic pillars to accelerate value creation for its stakeholders: enhancing customer experiences, technology-powered distribution, and transforming its health business model.
