Zurich Cover-More has appointed Jon Ford as head of Asia and Tricia Lim as head of commercial operations and delivery, Asia, the company announced on Wednesday.
Ford has been with Zurich APAC since 2022 and has been serving as head of partnerships in the region. He will retain that role while assuming additional responsibility for leading the Asia travel division, based in Singapore. He will work closely with Matthew Reilly, chief operating officer, Zurich APAC, and Donna Dorairajoo, head of international at Zurich Cover-More, to advance the division’s sustainable growth agenda and partnership development strategy.
Ford has more than 25 years of global experience across insurance, technology, and consulting, including a prior role as vice president and regional head of partnership distribution at Chubb in Asia-Pacific.
Meanwhile, Lim has been with the Travel Guard business since 2023, where she most recently served as regional travel manager for Asia. She brings more than 20 years of experience in insurance and travel to her new role, where she will focus on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and platform and partnership delivery to ensure high service standards and business continuity.
The company said the appointments underscore its commitment to expanding its travel insurance business across key Asian markets. The moves also follow the establishment of Zurich Cover-More as the group’s global travel business in late 2024, after Zurich’s acquisition of AIG’s Travel Guard business.
Earlier this month, Zurich Cover-More announced Blain Waterford’s return to Sydney as its head of travel for Australia and New Zealand.
