China Pacific Insurance (Group) shareholders have approved the election of Ming Ge as an independent director of the company’s 10th board, according to an HKEX announcement.

The appointment was approved at the insurer’s 2025 annual general meeting, held on 10 June 2026, with 98.592% of votes cast in favour of the resolution.

The company said Ge’s qualification to serve as an independent non-executive director must be approved by the relevant regulatory authorities.

Ge Ming’s election comes as the wider group adapts to emerging risk areas. In Beijing, its property arm has rolled out a comprehensive liability policy for low-altitude logistics drones operating across the capital.
