Independent global managing general agent ADVA Underwriting has launched ADVA Risk in Singapore, expanding its presence in Asia and extending its international reinsurance offering.
The London-based specialist MGA has appointed Jim Attwood to lead the Singapore platform. Attwood brings more than 30 years of experience in structured reinsurance and will oversee the delivery of tailored, multi-line reinsurance solutions from the new division.

ADVA Underwriting is part of ADVA Group and provides specialist underwriting solutions across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas through offices in the UK, Germany, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Its portfolio includes vehicle and extended warranty products, marine insurance, including war risks and cover for consequential project delays, electronics and appliance warranty products, and lifestyle protection solutions.
The MGA also provides third-party policy and claims administration through Advantage, its web-based policy and claims management system. It is also the exclusive supplier for WALKAWAY Insurance, a specialty vehicle finance protection product, in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
