Specialist shipping brokerage Latitude Brokers has announced the appointments of James Gargrave as P&I Director and Kevin Overton as the head of its newly formed Superyacht Division.
James Gargrave will be relocating from the Shipowners Club in London, where he has served since 2016, to join the team at Latitude Brokers in Singapore for his new position. His previous experience includes underwriting roles at MS Amlin and Standard Club.
“We are very excited to have James joining the team. As our portfolio expands, we want to continually enhance our P&I client experience and James is absolutely the right person to lead that,” said Matt Cannock, Managing Director in Singapore.
Overton meanwhile has 30 years of experience in Asia and a book which includes superyachts from around the world. He joined the Hong Kong office in October as Yacht Director to lead the new superyacht division.

The recruitment of James Gargrave and Kevin Overton, coupled with the formation of the Superyacht Division, signifies the commitment of Latitude Brokers and its parent company, Filhet-Allard Maritime, to broaden their range of marine insurance offering in Asia.
The business also recently upgraded its online P&I comparison platform, PILOT, to deliver real-time data on P&I Club performance, including 2024 increase announcements as they’re released.
