AIG has appointed Harprit Singh Narang as Regional Cyber Leader for Asia Pacific, according to a LinkedIn post by Ryan Thomas, Head of Financial Lines for APAC at AIG.
Narang joins after nearly six years at Munich Re and brings nearly two decades of experience in cyber risk and incident management within the financial and technology sectors.
“As we continue to unlock the significant growth opportunities in Cyber with our CyberEdge product & services, Harprit’s established industry relationships and experience navigating the dynamic and complex cyber risk environment will be key to delivering excellence in our underwriting, and most importantly, positive outcomes for AIG’s clients and partners throughout the region,” Thomas said.
Before Munich Re, Narang held cybersecurity-related roles at Deutsche Bank, Barclays Investment Bank, and Citi, where he developed significant expertise in threat intelligence operations and incident management.
