Arundo Re on Monday announced it had appointed Kshitij Chirimar as Senior Underwriter for the Indian sub-continent, a move the business labelled as a “significant step” in expanding its presence in the region.

Chirimar joins the French reinsurer following more than 12 years at ACE Insurance Brokers and he has a career which has centred on structuring solutions and business development in India, Central Asia, and East Asia.

“Kshitij’s expertise in the Indian sub-continent is a real asset for Arundo Re,” said Hervé Nessi, Chief Underwriting Officer at Arundo Re. “His in-depth knowledge of the local issues and his solid relationships with key players in this market will strengthen our position in this strategic region for the company.”

Chirimar also holds a degree in Financial Analysis from the University of Delhi and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.
