Beazley has announced the promotion of Sydonie Williams to Head of International Cyber Risks, effective immediately, the business announced in a media release.
Williams joined the specialty insurer in 2019 and had been serving as Focus Group Leader for Cyber Risks in the Rest of World segment. In her new role, she reports to Alessandro Lezzi, Group Head of Cyber Risks.
During her time at the company, Williams has “demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities and impressive expertise”, the specialty insurer said, adding that she’s played a key part in many of the business’s achievements, including the development of Beazley’s catastrophe bond.
Lezzi says that Williams has been a central member of the cyber team, adding her “extensive experience across multiple geographies perfectly positions her to drive our strategy forward, expand our capabilities, and support our brokers and clients in navigating the complexities of cyber risk.”
Before her time at Beazley, Williams spent nine years at Gen Re, where she was involved in underwriting property and marine reinsurance across international and US markets.
