Crawford & Company (Crawford) has launched Japan Connect, a claims handling model tailored for Japan-based insurers and companies who have interests throughout the Asian region.
In a media release, the loss adjuster described Japan Connect as a “culturally competent claims handling” solution which aligns with Japanese business culture, custom, and etiquette.
“For Japanese-based insurers and companies and their affiliates, Japan Connect offers peace of mind that their claims across Asia will be handled in adherence to commonly accepted Japanese business practices and values,” Sedgwick said.
“This model means our clients in Japan will only ever deal with Crawford Japan during the duration of their claims,” commented Mamoru Tanouchi, Crawford Japan’s Managing Director.
“For example, a loss that’s insured by a Japanese-based insurer may take place in Singapore or Taiwan. Our local Crawford team in those countries will assess the loss, supervised by Crawford Japan.”
Tanouchi added that the location of the loss “becomes irrelevant” as Japan Connect will ensure a consistent and streamlined loss adjusting service to Japanese companies across Asia.
Japan Connect is led by Satoshi Yamazaki, Head of Japan Connect (ASEAN), and Masakazu Nagumo, Head of Japan Connect (Greater China).
