With the launch of its Public & Products Liability Insurance, Australian managing general agent (MGA) FTA Insurance has appointed Daniel Malic and Janelle Ferraro as its new Public & Products Liability Underwriters, the company announced on LinkedIn.
Based in Melbourne, Malic joins the Lloyd’s coverholder as its new National General Liability Manager. He brings over 30 years of experience to his new role, with 20 of those years focused on liability underwriting. Before delving into underwriting, Malic also spent a decade as a mid-market insurance broker.
Prior to joining FTA Insurance, Malic worked for Berkley Insurance Australia, Allianz, and Chubb, among others.
Also based in Melbourne, Ferraro has assumed the role of General Liability Underwriter for FTA. In her new role, she brings extensive experience in insurance and sales, first entering the insurance industry in 2002. Following a career break to become a mother, she went back to the industry as a liability underwriter.
Before joining the company, Ferraro had also taken on underwriting roles. She has worked numerous firms, including Berkley Insurance Australia and Dexta Corporation.
