Delta Insurance has designated Hamish MacLean as its managing director for Australia, the managing general agent (MGA) announced on Wednesday.

MacLean joins the insurer from Zurich Insurance, where he held several senior roles, most recently as head of strategic broker management.

He brings more than 25 years of experience in broking, underwriting, and insurer leadership, with previous stints at Adroit Insurance Group, Marsh, Willis, and IAG.

“With a deep expertise in the Australian insurance landscape and a drive for distribution, Hamish is perfectly positioned to elevate Delta’s value proposition and build stronger partnerships with brokers nationwide,” Delta Insurance Group chief executive officer Kent Chaplin said.
