The Insurance Brokers Association of India (IBAI) has appointed Pranav Kapadia as its deputy secretary general effective 2 February 2026.
Kapadia brings over 17 years of multidisciplinary experience across the insurance sector, including nearly 12 years with Aon, with hands-on expertise in finance, compliance and governance, and close collaboration with brokers that equips him to represent the broking community effectively in policy discussions.
In his new role, Kapadia will focus on protecting broker interests while promoting a more transparent, efficient, and consumer-centric insurance ecosystem, and will deepen engagement with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India and other key industry stakeholders.
“Mr. Pranav Kapadia’s appointment reinforces IBAI’s commitment to strengthening the role of insurance brokers in India’s evolving financial services landscape, and his diverse experience and strategic insight will be invaluable in advancing our advocacy efforts and enhancing the professional stature of the broking community,” IBAI President Narendra Bharindwal said of Kapadia’s appointment.
