Delta Insurance on Friday announced changes to its senior leadership team, promoting Joleene Dawson to chief underwriting officer and Andrew Beaton to the newly created role of group head of property for Asia-Pacific, both effective 1 April.

Dawson has been with the managing general agent (MGA) since 2024 and has been serving as head of underwriting. Before joining the business, she spent nearly 14 years with Chubb.

Beaton has been with the group for over eight years. The newly created role reflects “the success of Delta’s property portfolio in New Zealand and the opportunity to scale that capability across the wider Asia-Pacific region,” the business said in its LinkedIn announcement.

The move comes amid broader, key personnel changes by the business this year, as the MGA looks to build its next phase of growth. This includes Teresa Pollard, who this week was named interim CEO of Delta Insurance Group, following Kent Chaplin’s departure from the business. Last month, Delta named Hamish MacLean as its new managing director for Australia.
