Amundi has named Jian Xiong as Asia Insurance Specialist, effective 5 May 2025.
Xiong joins the asset management company from abrdn, where he worked for over three years, most recently as a Senior Director in the APAC Insurance team. In his new role, he will report to Eddy Wong, CEO of Amundi Asia, and Lawrence Wee, Head of Institutional Sales for South Asia.
“With over 15 years of experience across the asset management, insurance, and banking sectors, Jian Xiong has a proven track record in navigating local insurance regulations, identifying market trends, and advancing insurance investment solutions for clients across the Asia-Pacific region,” the company said in the announcement.
Based in Singapore, Xiong also worked in senior and leadership positions in firms such as China Life Insurance Singapore and Prudential Assurance. He is also a member of the Expert Committee at the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (IAMAC).
