Marsh has announced the promotion of John Donnelly to global head of placement, effective from January 1, 2024.
Donnelly currently saves as Marsh’s Asia Pacific head of placement. To facilitate his new global role, he will relocate from Sydney to London.
His new position will entail working in close collaboration with regional placement leaders at Marsh to enhance the company’s global placement strategy, an effort that aims to meet the changing requirements of clients. He will also spearhead digital market engagement initiatives.
Donnelly brings with him four decades of experience across prominent roles within the industry. His career trajectory began with Marsh in 1983, where he spent 15 years, before moving to Jardine Lloyd Thompson and then Aon Risk Solutions.
He returned to Marsh in 2013 to serve in his current role as head of the Asia-Pacific placement team.
