Malaysian Re, China Pacific Property Insurance (CPIC), and Kunpeng Insurance Broker Company have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on the development of health and medical insurance products in Malaysia.

The MOU, announced by Malaysian Re in a LinkedIn announcement, was formalised on 14 April 2024 during the Innovation Insurance Product Launch Conference in Hainan.

It will have a particular emphasis on Cancer Precision Medicine treatment, the reinsurer said.

“This partnership provides Malaysian Re with the privilege to contribute to shaping the future of insurance in Southeast Asia,” Malaysian Re said in its statement, adding, “it is hoped that this partnership will be able to bring about more innovative products, better outcomes and stronger protection for the community.”
