Markel International welcomes three new underwriters in Mumbai  

Dhali, Mehta, and Saxena have all joined the Markel India team from Tata AIG.

Srabasti Dhali, Aniket Mehta, and Ankur Saxena have joined Markel International’s Mumbai office, the specialty (re)insurer announced on LinkedIn.  

Dhali joins Markel International as a Senior Underwriter for Specie. She moves from Tata AIG General Insurance, where she most recently took on the role of Vice President and National Manager- Private Client Group and Home for almost four years. Dhali also previously worked as a Senior Project Manager at Tata AIG and as a management associate with AIC.

Mehta has been appointed as Senior Underwriter, Marine at Markel International. He joins from Tata AIG, where he also took on the role of Marine Underwriter. Before that, Mehta took on senior management roles at Anviti Insurance Brokers and Marsh & McLennan Companies.

Saxena joins Markel International’s Mumbai team as a Casualty Underwriter. He moves from Tata AIG General Insurance, where he worked from 2015 to 2017, and from 2020 to 2024, most recently as Assistant Vice President. He also took on the role of Liability Lines Underwriting Manager at ICICI Lombard for two years starting in 2017.
