Allianz Commercial has confirmed the appointment of Nico Ahn as Sustainability Governance Lead, effective as of August 1 2024.
Ahn takes on the role having served as Regional Sustainability Lead for Allianz Asia Pacific over the past two years, where he drove the regional execution of Allianz Group’s global sustainability strategy and helped to establish sustainability governance across ten P&C and L/H operating entities.
Ahn has held roles focused on sustainability risk management, sustainable product development, and sustainability reporting within Allianz Group over the past decade. He also has an academic background in environmental science, economics, and environmental impact assessment.
Ahn will initially be based in Allianz Commercial’s Singapore office and is set to relocate to Munich in early 2025.
Commenting on LinkedIn, Ahn said that over the past two years, he had worked with “a great team across Asia Pacific”, adding, “Together we established the foundation for sustainability integration and governance in the region and put the region well on track to contribute to Allianz Group’s sustainability ambitions.”
On his new role, Ahn commented, “I am looking forward to contributing to the further integration of sustainability and climate matters in Allianz and expanding my experience in our commercial P&C business.”
