Pinnacle Underwriting has been approved as a Lloyd’s coverholder, the managing general agent (MGA) announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday.
With the approval, the Sydney-headquartered MGA specialising in facultative reinsurance for the underlying lines of property, power generation and utilities, onshore oil and gas, political violence, and terrorism, is now authorised to underwrite on behalf of the Lloyd’s market, enabling it to deliver faster, more flexible, and highly tailored insurance solutions to its brokers and clients.
“This recognition reflects the strength of our underwriting expertise, robust governance framework, and disciplined approach to risk,” Pinnacle said in a statement.
In June 2025, the Australian firm and its affiliate Pinnacle Holdings Group Pty Ltd were acquired by United Risk, a New York-headquartered international property and casualty insurance underwriting and distribution platform.
