Amiga Specialty has appointed Ralph Sherbahn as its Managing Director for Financial Lines in the Asia Pacific, the London-headquartered managing general agent (MGA) has announced.

Prior to joining the specialty MGA, Sherbahn relocated back to Hong Kong to serve as the Head of Financial Lines and M&A of Gallagher in Asia. He also previously held roles at major firms like Zurich Insurance, The Hartford, XL Catlin, Marsh, and Swiss Re.

In his new role, Sherbahn will launch Amiga Specialty’s first international expansion, bringing his expertise in scaling financial lines and building high-performing underwriting teams.

Adam Kembrooke, Group MD, stated that the appointment marks a “significant start” for the firm’s international growth plans, with APAC as a key market. “Ralph’s deep product expertise, leadership experience, and trusted relationships across the market make him an ideal fit to help build a bold and different proposition.”

Amiga Specialty, founded by Adam Kembrooke in May 2025, is 49% owned by B.P. Marsh, which invested in the MGA and provided a £10m (approx. US$13.4m) loan facility in June.
