The Hartford has appointed Shuohan Dai as Senior Underwriter for Credit and Political Risk Insurance (CPRI), James Wilson, the firm’s Head of Political Risks, International, announced on LinkedIn.
The move comes after The Hartford announced earlier this month that it had launched a service company in Singapore in a strategic bid to enhance its presence in Asia.
Singapore-based Dai joins the team there from Siemens Bank, where she was Director of Project Finance Risk Management for APAC.
“Her local knowledge and in-depth expertise contribute to our capability to support global clients, locally, whilst we continue to grow the Global Credit and Political Risks Team,” Wilson said.
Dai brings over a decade of industry experience to her new role. She has gained exposure in underwriting CPRI in the APAC region, serving at companies such as AXIS Capital and Euler Hermes. She also has experience in risk management for Europe-based banks, like Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking and EDP Energias de Portugal, according to LinkedIn.
