Zita Fok has been appointed Divisional Director, Marine, Cargo & Logistics, for Howden’s Asia Marine team, the company announced on LinkedIn.
Based in Hong Kong, Fok joins the company from Markel, where she worked as Marine Underwriter for over two years. She brings 19 years of industry experience to her new role, including nearly a decade at WTW.
Her background spans major classes of marine insurance, such as Hull, War, Loss of Hire, Protection and Indemnity, and Marine Liability.
Commenting on the appointment, Bozidar Ljubisavljevic, Regional Marine Chief Client Officer for the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, said, “We are excited to welcome Zita and to further expand our marine insurance capabilities in Hong Kong, which we are building on the foundations of skill, experience, trust, and energy.”
Fok’s appointment is the second major leadership announcement by Howden in Hong Kong this month, coming on the heels of Leo King’s promotion to Head of Direct Wholesale & Corporate Facultative Property for APAC.
